AI POLICY

Do not use generative AI tools for this course–not for summarizing readings, not for writing questions or responses, not for writing assignments.

We are going to start the course without any AI, because we want to be involved in the messy work of being humans approaching the ideas of other humans. Our thinking necessitates that we do our own reading and writing, even when we get it “wrong.”

If and when there is an appropriate use of AI for this course, it will be very clear to you and announced as such within an assignment. Otherwise, your default should be to not use it for anything course-related.
